The Battle Creek VA Medical Center intends to enter into a sole source contract with Saracare to provide adult daycare services for veterans, specifically continuing care for those formerly served at Saracare's Alto, MI facility, which recently closed. This contract aligns with NAICS code 624190 and is justified under the Federal Acquisition Regulation clauses for continuity of services and unusual and compelling urgency. The Government plans to negotiate directly with Saracare in Grand Rapids to ensure uninterrupted care for affected veterans. This action is not a request for competitive quotes and no solicitation document has been issued. However, any firm believing it can meet these requirements has three calendar days from the notice's publication to submit a written notification with evidence demonstrating their capability. Responses will be reviewed, but the decision to proceed with the sole source procurement lies solely with the Government.
