Qualitopia – Strengthening the Open Qualitative Research Community

The Qualitopia Strengthening the Open Qualitative Research Community project, managed by the Regieorgaan Open Science under the Nederlandse Organisatie voor Wetenschappelijk Onderzoek, focuses on integrating Open Science principles into qualitative research. The initiative centers on a one-day retreat at Tilburg University where researchers address specific barriers to Open Science, such as ethical concerns and privacy issues, to ensure the framework is inclusive and applicable to diverse research methodologies. The primary objectives of the meeting are to develop practical solutions, establish a shared three-year strategy, and generate new research ideas and educational materials. All resulting outcomes will be shared openly to foster a collaborative environment and provide a scalable model for other researchers. This award notice, identified by solicitation number 500.010.2621, underscores a commitment to evolving Open Science into a more flexible and useful practice for the qualitative research community.
