Task Order GD139ROC8A was solicited competitively and subsequently awarded to Centuria. All services and material support requirements are therefore awarded to Centuria by modification to the awarded task order and subcontracting is sometimes necessary. This requirement is for support needed to improve the data quality of the WSR-88D system. WSR-88D radar data quality improvement projects have been on-going for over ten years. This work continues the development and implementation of advanced signal processing and radar calibration techniques developed by NCAR for integration into the WSR-88D system to improve the data quality of radar images. This tasks falls within scope of the MSITS Statement of Work (SOW)/GD139ROC8A, Sections 3.0 (Scope), 4.11 (WA1 - Systems/Radar Engineering Support), and 4.2.2 (Future Special Projects). This justification is to issue a sole source modification against task order GD139ROC8A/(MITS)to Centuria.
