The Veterans Health Administration (VHA) intends to procure a license agreement exclusively from the American Medical Association (AMA) for the use of Current Procedural Terminology (CPT) data within the VHA's Veterans Health Information Systems and Technology Architecture (VISTA) software. This license is unique and not offered by any other provider for use with VISTA, justifying the sole source procurement approach. The contract falls under the NAICS code 511120, and this notice serves as a formal declaration of VHA's intent rather than a solicitation for competitive bids. Though no solicitation documents are available, and the VHA will not entertain telephone inquiries, firms capable of meeting the licensing requirements may submit written notifications within ten calendar days from the notice date. These notifications should include sufficient detail to demonstrate the firm’s capability to fulfill the contract requirements and be directed to the Contracting Specialist at the VHA Service Center in Independence, Ohio. While all responses will be reviewed, the government retains sole discretion to proceed with sole sourcing to the AMA, particularly if no eligible responses are received.
