The government plans to issue a contract with a basic term and four options to obtain technical and engineering services in support of the SIMNET, a simulation network managed by Amherst Systems, Inc. Although this notice is not a solicitation for competitive proposals, the government invites interested parties to express their interest or submit proposals within 45 days of the announcement. Any responses will help the government determine whether a competitive procurement may be pursued in the future. The contract services encompass system engineering, maintenance, and operation of Amherst’s simulators and the network that connects them within the WR-ALC Electronic Warfare Avionics Integration Support Facility. Additional tasks include the development, maintenance, and management of testing databases utilized with these simulators. The solicitation was posted on April 21, 2006, under the NAICS code 541330.
