The United States Joint Forces Command (JFCOM) Joint Warfighting Center (JWFC) has been directed to implement the Joint Knowledge Development and Distribution Capability (JKDDC) as part of the Department of Defense's Training Transformation initiative. To gather and analyze best practices from industry, JWFC is organizing a series of Market Awareness sessions, which are brainstorming events aimed at reviewing expertise in joint warfighting support. Participation is by invitation and on a non-reimbursable basis, extended to government organizations and contractors with relevant experience, including entities such as OSD Advanced Distributed Learning, the Joint Staff, Defense Acquisition University, Johns Hopkins University, SAIC, IBM, Microsoft, Northrop Grumman, and their partners. Additional interested parties may join on a space-available basis by contacting the JKDDC Program Manager. These sessions are scheduled between early February and early March, each focusing on specific themes like Knowledge Distribution, Advanced Concepts, Knowledge Management, and Assessment, hosted at various government and partner locations across Virginia and Florida. Government leads are assigned to each event, and minutes from these sessions will be publicly accessible via the JFCOM website. Questions or requests for participation can be directed to J.D. Camacho, the JKDDC Program Manager. Contract negotiation contacts are also provided for administrative purposes. This initiative supports the broader DoD effort to enhance joint training and knowledge sharing through collaborative engagement with industry and government stakeholders.
