Full Description

The U.S. Fish and Wildlife Service, Region 3, Bloomington, MN intends to award a sole source firm fixed price purchase order under authority of FAR 6.302-1, Other than Full and Open Competition procedures and FAR Part 13, Simplified Acquisition procedures to Indiana State University, Center for Bat Research, Terre Haute, Indiana. This requirement is for a continuous long term study monitoring a maternity colony of Indiana Bats on 2000 or more acres near Indianapolis, IN. This project has produced results that are widely recognized as contributing to the conservation and recovery of this imperiled species. This continuous monitoring has been completed by the Indiana State University, Center for Bat Research (CBR). In addition to monitoring the Indiana Bat colony for numerous years, the CBR team has gained irreplaceable knowledge of the locations and behaviors of the bat community. CBR has also gained trust and access rights to private parcels in order to adequately complete required monitoring. The North American Industry Classification (NAICS) Code is 611310. The size standard is $27.50. This notice is not a request for competitive proposals; however firms with expressed interest and capability are encouraged to respond by 09/09/2016. This notice is for informational purposes only. A determination by the Government not to compete this requirement based on responses to this notice is solely within the discretion of the Government.
