The NAVSUP Fleet Logistics Center Norfolk, Contracting Department Philadelphia Office intends to acquire assessment and management of suicide risk training services in support of BUMED and the Naval Behavioral Health Office. The primary objective is for the contractor to provide training workshops on suicide risk assessment and the management of suicidal behaviors among service members and their families for the continuing education of physicians, nurses/nurse practitioners, physician assistants, and other primary care providers who care for Sailors, Marines, and their families. The goal of the training is to improve the skills and confidence of Navy primary care providers in assessing and managing suicidal behaviors and to meet licensing requirements. The long term impact is expected to be a reduction in suicides and suicide attempts among individuals seen within the Navy system of care. The scope of duties includes developing and conducting a workshop for primary care providers and reporting on the outcome of the training sessions.
