R04 Facility Maintenance MATOC

This project is Set aside for Total Small Business. there will be multiple awards with Utah, Idaho being divided by Forest and Nevada divided by Ranger Districts. The contractor will be required to provide pricing for one or more forest / Ranger Districts (in NV). I. Scope of Work The Contractor shall provide for all labor, material, supplies, transportation, management, supervision, equipment, and all other necessary items for a broad range of maintenance, repair and minor construction work in National Forest, Region 4. The contractor is responsible for performing all work required for complete and usable projects, in compliance with all plans, drawings, and specifications issued. The Contracting Officer will issue individual Task Order s for each project as part of this contract. Individual Task Order projects will vary in size and scope. The Contractor will be required to perform multi-discipline construction, repair, and remodeling work using common trades identified in the Davis Bacon Wage Determination and other trades common to the construction industry. Work performed under this contract shall be completed in compliance with all local, state and federal regulations. Typical projects fall between $5,000 and $40,000 with most falling between $7,000 and $20,000. Work shall include the preparation of Task Order Proposals to include project scoping, cost estimating and development of Task Order specifications and/or requirements. II. Project Types Types of projects/jobs contemplated under this contract may include electrical, plumbing, mechanical/HVAC, cement/concrete work, parking lot paving, flooring, painting, general carpentry, sewer line repair, lead based paint removal, roofing, and minor construction/remodels. The contractor will be provided a 100% completed design document (drawings, specifications, and/or design analysis etc.) to initiate and complete construction execution in accordance with contract requirements. Normally construction shall not begin until the final design documents are approved in writing from the Contracting Officer. Once the design is approved, design changes are not allowed without Government approval. In rare cases, "Fast-Tracked" projects (projects that start construction before the design is approved) will be clearly defined in the Task Order with various fast-tracked phases. In case of a fast-tracked project, construction may start only upon completion and approval of the phases as defined in the Task Order. III. Location Work shall be accomplished within the administrative areas of the locations identified in Section B. Work may be in occupied and unoccupied residences, multi-occupant housing units, offices, warehouses, and other miscellaneous type facilities on a Region 4 wide basis, which includes National Forest in the states of Nevada, Utah, Southern Idaho and Western Wyoming, and Eastern California. The Contractor may be required to perform work in remote locations, as specified in individual Task Order. For work in remote locations the Contractor shall be responsible for all personnel, supplies, equipment, materials, and infrastructure (including, but not limited to, potable water, utility systems, housing, dining, transportation, and medical care) when there are no facilities and services available.
