Rabbit Road - Slope Stabilization and Repair

ADVERTISEMENT FOR BIDS LAUDERDALE COUNTY, MISSISSIPPI   Sealed bids will be received by the Board of Supervisors of Lauderdale County, Mississippi at the Lauderdale County Government Center located at 2600 Courthouse Blvd., Suite 2002 (2nd Floor), Meridian, MS, until 10:00 am Friday, October, 16, 2026 for Lauderdale County Bid Number 4040.  Bids will be publicly opened and read aloud.  Bids received after the stated time will not be accepted.   The work is generally described as:             RABBIT ROAD – SLOPE STABILIZATION AND REPAIR   The principal items of work include filling the void beneath the existing downstream box culvert apron with grout, removing existing riprap and debris from the channel, and regrading and stabilizing the channel banks. Additional work includes placing riprap along the streambed and lower portions of the channel slopes, clearing and grubbing, relocating the existing ditch indicated on the construction plans to provide positive drainage into the channel, pouring a paved ditch at end of existing apron, establishing permanent vegetation on disturbed areas, and other incidental work as indicated on the construction plans for Rabbit Road.   Bid security in the form of a bid bond equal to 5% of the total bid is required.  Contract security in the form of 100% Performance and Payment Bonds will be required.  No bid may be withdrawn after closing time for the receipt of proposals for a period of thirty (30) days.  Bidding and Contract Documents may be purchased from the Engineer upon prior payment of a fee of $100.00, which is non-refundable.  Each bidder shall provide a Mississippi Certificate of Responsibility or their bid will not be opened or considered.   Bidding Documents may be examined at the following locations:   Office of the Engineer: Engineering Plus, Inc.; 1724-B 23rd Avenue, Meridian, MS 39301 (601-693-4234).
