The Naval Air System Command (NAVAIRSYSCOM) intends to award a Firm Fixed Price and Cost Plus Fixed Fee contract to BAE Systems-Electronic Solutions (BAE) for the procurement of T-1687/ALE-70(V) Countermeasure Transmitters and associated support services. This procurement will be awarded in a sole source basis to BAE, Nashua, NH. BAE Systems is the sole designer, developer, and producer of T-1687/ALE-70(V) Countermeasure Transmitters. As such, BAE is the only responsible source that possesses the technical data and requisite knowledge required to meet the Government's requirement. THIS IS NOT AN INVITATION FOR COMPETITIVE PROPOSALS. This acquisition is being pursued on a sole source basis under the statutory authority of 10 U.S.C. 2304(c)(1), as implemented in FAR 6.302-1, only one responsible source and no other type of supplies or services will satisfy agency requirements.
