The Mission and Installation Contracting Command (MICC), Fort Stewart, intends to issue an Invitation for Bid (IFB), to award a single firm fixed price requirements contract for Railroad Maintenance and Repair on Fort Stewart, and Hunter Army Airfield, GA. The contractor will be required The contractor will be required to perform maintenance and repairs of all rail and track components required for safe operation of the rail system on Fort Stewart and Hunter Army Airfield in accordance with Federal Rail Administration standards. There is approximately 19 miles of track located in and around Fort Stewart and approximately 3 miles of track in Hunter Army Airfield. The work covered by this contract consists of furnishing all plant, labor, materials and performing all operations required in connection with the maintenance and repair of railroads. Competition for this solicitation is limited to SBA 8(a) firms in accordance with FAR 19.805. The NAICS code for this requirement is 237990 and the size standard is $36.5 million. Solicitation Number W9124M-16-B-0005, will be available for downloading through FedBizOpps at www.fbo.gov. Potential Bidders are responsible for monitoring FedBizOpps for release of the solicitation package and any amendments. Information regarding date and time of an organized site visit will be contained in the solicitation. The solicitation will be available on or about 18 April 2015.
