RECOVERY-The Social Security Administration (SSA) has a requirement for Symantec Open System Backup Software and One year of Support for the National Computer Center (NCC) located at 6201 Security Boulevard, Baltimore, Maryland 21235. The agency is providing this notice for information purposes only. This opportunity is available only to Authorized Symantec resellers currently holding General Services Administration Federal Supply Schedules (GSA FSS). Additional Symantec products are requested for the expansion of the existing enterprise backup and recovery infrastructure. The software products must be the same manufacturer to work in conjunction with the existing enterprise infrastructure. These additional licenses are to support growing project needs. Separate brands cannot co-exist on the same current enterprise infrastructure. Backup software products retain ownership of the backup hardware installed in the backup and recovery configurations. It would be very costly to procure, manage and maintain a second infrastructure of a manufacturer.
