This contract issued by the New York State Office of General Services aims to supply recycled copy paper to various state agencies, political subdivisions, and authorized entities across New York. The procurement includes both 100% Post-Consumer Recycled Content (PCRC) and 30% PCRC white copy paper, with a minimum order of ten cartons and no maximum limit. The contract covers eight specific items divided into four zones—Western, Central, Northeast, and Downstate/New York City Metropolitan—each offering two types of paper based on recycled content and processing methods. Bidders can compete for one or multiple items, with the expectation that awards will be made per item, though a single bidder may secure multiple awards. The contract duration is three years, with an option for a two-year extension, and encompasses all counties within New York State. It emphasizes diversity and inclusion goals, targeting 30% MWBE participation, with specific sub-goals of 15% for Minority-Owned Business Enterprises and 15% for Women-Owned Business Enterprises. Bidders are required to adhere strictly to submission deadlines, with the bid response due by October 9, 2024. The procurement process encourages thorough review of the bid instructions and documentation, and the contract is valued between five and fifteen million dollars. Notably, the contract involves entities that have previously purchased similar goods from out-of-state vendors within the last three years, and WB Mason Co. Inc. has been identified as a business with past experience in similar contracts.
