The U.S. Air Force Acquisition Management and Integration Center (AMIC) intends to award a sole-source, Firm-Fixed Price purchase order to Carahsoft Technology, Corp. for the annual renewal of 34 Red Hat Enterprise Linux Server licenses with Satellite support (Part Number RH00009). This procurement supports the 805th Combat Training Squadron (CTS) eXperimental Combined Air Operation Center (CAOC-X) for a performance period running from February 27, 2026, to February 26, 2027. The action is conducted under NAICS 513210 and utilizes the DoD Enterprise Strategic Initiative (ESI) mandatory source, with authority derived from 10 USC 2302(b), FAR 13.501, and FAR 6.302-1. The government has justified the sole-source approach by stating that Red Hat Enterprise Linux is proprietary and that migrating to an alternative solution would be cost-prohibitive and operationally disruptive. Deliverables include the electronic transmission of license keys and the physical delivery of media to Langley AFB, Virginia. While the government issued a Notice of Contract Action to identify other potentially qualified sources by January 26, 2026, the final determination to compete the procurement remains at the discretion of the Contracting Officer. No specific contract value was disclosed in the provided documentation.
