Shelter is a high priority following a natural disaster and FEMA wants to ensure that manufacturers of mobile homes, retailers, commercial park owners, installers, transporters, service providers and supply firms are ready to respond immediately to FEMA's request for proposals to provide temporary housing and ancillary services. FEMA's goal is to seek local companies within (Florida, Alabama, Mississippi, Tennessee, South Carolina and Kentucky) within the disaster area for goods and related to a specific disaster when practical and feasible. In order to do business with FEMA a business must be registered with the federal government. The purpose of the FEMA Teleconference is to discuss business opportunities available through FEMA and educate vendors through the process of registering your business with the federal government. Registering your business with the federal government is a prerequisite for doing business with FEMA. You should register your business prior to a natural disaster in order to expedite your ability to do business with FEMA.
