Relocation of Machine and Welding Shops

The Kentucky Community and Technical College System (KCTCS) is soliciting bids for the relocation of machine and welding shop equipment at Elizabethtown Community and Technical College. The project requires a contractor to provide all supervision, rigging, tools, and transportation to move instructional equipment from the 200 and 300 blocks of the Occupational Technical Building to the renovated 100 block. The scope includes the disassembly and reassembly of equipment, disconnecting and reconnecting associated controls, and placing all machinery according to blueprint drawings. Work is scheduled to commence on December 7, 2026. The contractor is responsible for ensuring all equipment used is safe and compliant with federal, state, and local laws, and must assume liability for any property damage caused by negligence. New electrical power drops, new interconnecting wiring, and building system modifications are specifically excluded from the scope. The contract will be awarded based on Best Value using a ranking approach, where the lowest responsive and responsible bidder receives the maximum score of 100 points. Preference is given to Kentucky resident suppliers per KRS 45A.494, and bidders must be in good standing with KCTCS, having had no performance-related contract terminations within the previous twelve months. Bidders must provide a single lump-sum price and submit a complete packet including the signed Invitation to Bid, the Form of Proposal, and applicable reciprocal preference or dealer letters. Compliance requirements include adherence to ADA standards, certification of non-segregated facilities, and swearing under penalty of perjury regarding Kentucky campaign finance laws. Awarded bidders must register through the KCTCS Supplier Registration Portal and provide certificates of insurance, including products liability insurance, prior to commencement.
