S--REMEDIATE MOLD IN VICK MUSEUM COLLECTION

The National Park Service is seeking a qualified small business to remediate mold from 635 wooden museum objects, primarily from the USS Cairo and the Vicksburg battlefield, housed in Bally Building 1 at Vicksburg National Military Park in Mississippi. This firm fixed-price contract, issued under NAICS code 562910 as a total small business set-aside, requires the contractor to provide all labor, materials, tools, equipment, and supervision necessary to evaluate, clean, and conserve the affected artifacts in accordance with the American Institute for Conservation’s Code of Ethics and NPS Museum standards. The work must be performed between April 1 and September 30, 2026, and includes transportation of the objects, detailed photographic and written treatment reports, and a comprehensive conservation survey. The contractor must demonstrate technical capacity, including appropriate facilities and insurance, and provide resumes with three professional references, a sample treatment report, a list of personal protective equipment, and evidence of prior experience in comparable mold remediation projects. Proposals must be submitted electronically by June 5, 2026, and include a registered Unique Entity Identifier. A mandatory site visit is scheduled for May 27, 2026. All work is subject to inspection and approval by the Contracting Officer’s Representative and must conform to highest industry quality standards, ANSI A 10.6, and National Fire Protection Association codes. The contractor is responsible for obtaining all required permits, complying with OSHA, CERCLA, EPCRA, and other federal environmental and safety laws, and ensuring all employees adhere to professional conduct standards. Payment will be made monthly through the Internet Payment Process upon mutual agreement of work completion percentages between the contractor and the COR, with final acceptance contingent upon resolution of all punch list items and completion of site cleanup. The contract incorporates numerous FAR clauses related to labor standards, payment, record retention, privacy, insurance, patent indemnity, and drug-free workplace requirements.
