The Shasta-Trinity National Forest location Hayfork and Weaverville, CA is seeking local sources (within an easy commute distance of Hayfork and Weaverville) that can remove and/or redistribute felled trees without damaging the residual stand. Treatment of approx. 6.5 acres located on the Trinity River and South Fork Management Units in Trinity County. The trees range in size generally up to 10" in diameter at the butt and 25' in length. Small tractors such as skidsteers work well in the stands due to the close spacing of the residual trees and also soil compaction is a concern. Information is sought by November 7th in order for the Government to best determine the availability of resources and solicitation terms and conditions.
