Full Description

NRC proposes to negotiate and award a firm-fixed-price purchase order to renew its GSE Simulator Programming and Modeling Tool Software licenses and related maintenance with GSE Systems, Inc. This renewal will provide software updates to NRC for its existing GSE's JADETM MODELING TOOLS SUITE OF SOFTWARE (JADE) licenses, which are used to develop and execute improved simulator models which are fully compatible with the existing simulator models on NRC simulators, and also to develop models for the new reactor simulators being developed by the NRC. The JADE suite of software licenses and related renewals are proprietary to GSE and, based on NRC's recent market research, are not believed to be available from any other source. GSE is believed to be the sole supplier of modeling tools that are compatible with GSE's SimExec model execution environment and the sole supplier of the associated software update service. The SimExec model execution environment is required for compatibility with existing GSE-provided simulation software. The period of performance for this renewal is one year, beginning on 9/30/12 plus four one-year options to extend the term of the contract. The following Section 508 standards apply to this renewal: 1194.21 and 1194.41. Any sources that can demonstrate with written evidence that they are authorized by GSE Systems, Inc. to provide this required renewal are encouraged to respond to this notice and submit evidence of that authorization to carol.greenwood@nrc.gov by the closing date for this notice. Telephonic responses will not be considered.
