The Federal Bureau of Prisons, Federal Correctional Institution, Otisville, New York, intends to award a sole source purchase order under Simplified Acquisition Procedures and the authority of FAR Part 6.302-1 - only one responsible source, to Thermco, 228 Scoles Avenue, Clifton, NJ 07012, for the provision of repairing and rebuilding an Aerco WW3E+09/B, style 210313, hot water heat exchanger. Thermco is the authorized Aerco representative for our geographic area. The period of performance for this procurement will be prior to July 31, 2014. This notice is neither a request for quotation nor a solicitation of offers as no solicitation document is available. Based on the requirements, the Government intends to solicit and negotiate with one source on a full and open competitive basis upon receipt of responses to this notice. However, any vendor who believes they can meet these requirements may give a written or fax notification to the Contracting Officer by 4:00 pm EST on May 13, 2014. Supporting evidence must be furnished in sufficient detail to demonstrate the ability to comply with the above requirement. Point of contact for all information regarding this request is Kathleen Churchill, Supervisory Contract Specialist, at the address listed below. Information may be faxed to 845-386-6801, mailed to the address below.
