Repair Aerco WW3E+09/B

The Federal Bureau of Prisons, Federal Correctional Institution, Otisville, New York, intends to award a sole source purchase order under Simplified Acquisition Procedures and the authority of FAR Part 6.302-1 - only one responsible source, to Thermco, 228 Scoles Avenue, Clifton, NJ 07012, for the provision of repairing and rebuilding an Aerco WW3E+09/B, style 210313, hot water heat exchanger. Thermco is the authorized Aerco representative for our geographic area. The period of performance for this procurement will be prior to July 31, 2014. This notice is neither a request for quotation nor a solicitation of offers as no solicitation document is available. Based on the requirements, the Government intends to solicit and negotiate with one source on a full and open competitive basis upon receipt of responses to this notice. However, any vendor who believes they can meet these requirements may give a written or fax notification to the Contracting Officer by 4:00 pm EST on May 13, 2014. Supporting evidence must be furnished in sufficient detail to demonstrate the ability to comply with the above requirement. Responses received will be evaluated; however, a determination by the Government not to compete the proposed procurement based on responses to this notice is solely within the discretion of the Government. Information received will be considered solely for the purpose of determining whether to conduct a competitive procurement in the future. If no responses are received, FCI Otisville will proceed with the sole source procurement with Thermco. Faith-based organizations and Community based organizations have the right to submit offers equally with other organizations for contracts for which they are eligible.
