Special Notice: The U.S. Department of Commerce (DOC), National Oceanic and Atmospheric Administration (NOAA), National Weather Service (NWS), National Reconditioning Center (NRC) is awarding a Purchase Order for the repair and/or calibration of the following equipment: 24 each Probe/Transmitter Assembly for DTS-1, PN: DTT1, ASN: S100-2MT4-3A1A1 and 20 each SENSOR, ICE FREE WIND (IFW) ASOS MODEL 425NWS (WS425D7A1C), ASN: S100-2A8MT3A2 to Vaisala, Inc. Sole Source Justification: The Government only knows of one source, the original equipment manufacturer, Vaisala, Inc. A Sources Sought was posted to FBO on June 20 2014 for 5 days and no responses were received. Market research: ASN: S100-2MT4-3A1A1 Multiple searches of the Small Business Administration (SBA) Dynamic Small Search did not identify any small business available to compete for this required repair and calibration service. Search parameters included a combination of NAICS code - 334511, 334519' and key words: - repair, dewpoint sensors, Vaisala sensors'; and just key words: - repair, dewpoint sensors, Vaisala sensors'; - repair, Vaisala sensors, Vaisala DTS 1'; and - DTS1'.
