The Electronic Systems Center, Cryptologic Systems Contracting Division intends to award a sole source, firm fixed price contract to Thales Communication, Inc. for the repair of 29 handheld monitors and 67 communication modules. This action is being pursued under the authority that only one responsible source can satisfy the agency requirements, as Thales Communication, Inc. is the original equipment manufacturer and holds the proprietary rights for the manufacture and repair of these specific items. The required delivery for the repaired assets is 30 days after receipt. Because no technical data or drawings are available to other vendors, the government intends to negotiate exclusively with the OEM, with a target award date of February 2012. Interested firms claiming the capability to meet these requirements must notify the contract specialist within ten days of publication and provide their business size and ownership status.
