This contract solicitation involves the repair of a kiddie pool located adjacent to the main base pool within the aquatic center enclosure of the Columbus Club at Columbus Air Force Base, Mississippi. The kiddie pool, originally constructed with a fiberglass basin in the early 1960s and repaired intermittently since, has developed leaks where the fiberglass meets the concrete deck. Additionally, the pool's water circulation system is impaired due to an undersized skimmer and drainage channel, which forces operational adjustments to prevent overfilling. The contract's estimated value ranges between $25,000 and $100,000 and is set aside exclusively for small businesses under the SBA Total Small Business Set-Aside program. Interested contractors must complete Controlled Unclassified Information (CUI) training and submit a signed acknowledgment to gain access to the associated documents via SAM.gov. Proposals are due by June 22, 2026, and all requests for information must be submitted no later than June 1, 2026. A site visit is scheduled for May 26, 2026, requiring prior registration by May 18, which involves security protocols including vehicle and personal identification verification for base entry. Funding for the contract is contingent on future appropriations, with no legal liability for payment until funds are confirmed available by the Contracting Officer. The solicitation is managed by the Department of Defense’s 14th Contracting Squadron office with specified points of contact for inquiries and submission protocols.

Description: The kiddie pool is located adjacent to the main base pool, within the aquatic center enclosure of the Columbus Club B944. The main pool as well as the kiddie pool were originally constructed in the early 1960’s, with alterations and repairs happening in the early 1990’s as well as the early 2010’s. The kiddie pool basin construction type is fiberglass. The kiddie pool has developed leaks at its perimeter, where the fiberglass of the kiddie pool basin meets the concrete deck. The kiddie pool’s existing skimmer is the only means for returning water to the pumping systems. This skimmer is undersized, forcing staff to significantly lower the water supply to the jets and sprayers to ensure the kiddie pool does not overfill. The deck drainage channel separating the kiddie pool from the nearby patio is also undersized.

Site Visit, RSVP, and Base Entry: The Government invites you to a site visit on 26 May 2026 at 9:00 AM CST. Attendance is highly encouraged but not mandatory. Please note that registration is required by 1:00 PM CST on 18 May 2026. To register, please email the POC requesting a DoD Safe drop-off link to securely upload your completed Entry Authorization Listing (EAL) document (found in the list of SAM.gov attachments). If you do not contact the POC by 1:00 PM CST on 18 May 2026, you will not be able to attend the site visit.

Identification: All attendees must bring a valid photo ID.
