AFSC/PZABB intends to establish a sole source requirement using an indefinite delivery/indefinite quantity requirements type contract with Best Estimated Quantities (BEQ) to obtain a Firm Fixed Price contract for the repair and condemnation of the Voltage Control Oscillator applicable to the ALQ-172 weapon system. This notice of intent is not a request for competitive proposals. This acquisition is SOLE SOURCE to Crane Electronics, Inc., 340 N Roosevelt Ave. Chandler, AZ. 85226-2605, CAGE Code 33025. Statutory Authority 10 U.S.C. 2304(1) as implemented by FAR 6.302-1 - Only one or a limited number of responsible sources, and no other supplies or services will satisfy agency requirements. This requirement will not be set-aside for small business and will be covered under NAICS code 334511. The following NSN is to be repaired: NSN: 5955-01-466-2960EW, Part Number: 6139-6443-00 (Major Repair-BEQ: 8 EA, Minor Repair-BEQ: 8 EA). Condemnation of Voltage Control Oscillator BEQ: 1 EA. The BEQ's are anticipated to be the same for each option year. The anticipated Delivery Schedule is 180 days ARO. Size, Dimensions, or other form description: Aluminum electronic component 8"x2"x"4 thick and weighs about 1lb. The anticipated contract period will be a 12-month basic year with (4) 12-month option periods for a projected total contract performance period of five (5) years. The approximate Request for Proposal issue date is 6 January 2014 with a response date of 5 February 2014. Estimated contract award date is 17 March 2014. All responsible sources may submit a proposal which shall be considered by the agency. A determination by the Government not to compete this proposed contract based upon responses to this notice is soley within the discretion of the Government.
