Full Description

Work consists of furnishing all plant, labor, materials, equipment and performing all work in strict accordance with those specifications, schedules, drawings forming parts thereof, for the Repair/Replacement Elevator #9. A Design-Build contractor shall investigate and provide plans, specifications, and construction services to Repair/Replace Freight Elevator #9 such that it complies with all code requirements and meets a 20,000 lb., C-1 loading classification. Work shall include replacement of the existing electro-mechanical elevator controllers with new computerized controllers and their associated electronic equipment. The project shall include new A/C hoist motors, A/C drive, new interior elevator cab panels and finishes. Replace ropes, cables, guides, and wiring. Install environmental control in the elevator machine room as required for the electronic controllers. The work shall be performed by a Design-Build contractor which has completed both the design and construction of a minimum of three (3) freight elevator projects similar in size and complexity to this project. All work shall be accomplished in strict accordance with applicable NGA, EPA, NFPA, and OSHA requirements. This project shall be awarded based on lowest priced, technically acceptable source selection procedures. The performance period for this project is 448 calendar days. The approximate cost of this project is between $1,000,000 and $5,000,000. This cost includes both design and construction costs. This work is located at the National Geospatial-Intelligence Agency facilities at 3200 South Second Street, St. Louis, MO 63118-3399. This project is 100% set-aside for small business. The NAICS code for this project is 238290, size standard $14M.
