Full Description

The timber truss has a split top chord at a joint. The split continues through the joint to a splice connection. At one side of the splice connection the truss has dropped 3 inches. As a result, the truss has shifted out of alignment. The roof surface has a concave shape from the bending along the top chord. The splice connection in the bottom cord is failing and has dropped 2 inches to one side. Repair includes bolting a C7X9.8 steel channel to each side of the 3x8 timber bottom chords and top chords.
