The contract involves the repair and replacement of water mains along J Street at Beale Air Force Base in California. The contractor is required to provide all necessary labor, materials, supervision, equipment, and professional design services to abandon approximately 24,765 feet of old steel water mains and install about 15,624 feet of new polyvinyl chloride (PVC) piping. This is a HUBZone set-aside acquisition with an estimated value between $1 million and $5 million. Contractors must be registered in the Central Contractor Registration database and complete online representations and certifications to be eligible for award. The solicitation was made available on August 1, 2008, exclusively via the Federal Business Opportunities website, and no hard copies will be provided.
