This contract involves the procurement of replacement equipment for the AN/URC-109(v) communication system currently installed on all LHD class ships. The existing system, originally manufactured by Selex Communications, consists of components such as receivers, exciters, combiners, and amplifiers. The radios will be installed in proprietary Selex racks, maintaining form, fit, and function compatibility with existing equipment. The contract is expected to be an Indefinite Delivery/Indefinite Quantity (IDIQ), firm fixed price agreement with a base period and three one-year option periods. Procurement is being conducted on a sole source basis from Selex Communications as mandated by SPAWARSYSCEN Charleston, Code 536. The contracting office handling this procurement is the Naval Information Warfare Center Atlantic, located in North Charleston, South Carolina. All inquiries regarding the contract are directed to Grace D. Brown, whose contact details include a telephone number, fax, and email.
