Reptilians Timber Harvesting Plan 4-25-00029-ELD (Streambed Alteration Agreement EPIMS Notification No. EPIMS-ELD-62127-R2)

The California Department of Fish and Wildlife has executed Streambed Alteration Agreement EPIMS-ELD-62127-R2 for Sierra Pacific Industries in relation to the Reptilians Timber Harvesting Plan 4-25-00029-ELD. Pursuant to section 1611 of the Fish and Game Code, the agreement authorizes specific activities in El Dorado County, including the use of eight water drafting sites, the construction of a temporary ford crossing, the installation of corrugated metal pipe with rocked overflow, the creation of a temporary skid crossing, and the construction of two low water crossings. These activities are located within the Big Silver Creek, Maud Lake, and Union Valley Reservoir watersheds and their connecting tributaries, specifically covering designated sections of Townships 12N Range 15E and 12N Range 14E. The project is overseen by the Department of Forestry and Fire Protection as the lead agency, with administrative support from the Department of Fish and Wildlife North Central Region. A Notice of Determination issued on November 7, 2025, concludes that the project will not have a significant environmental effect within the agency's jurisdiction, provided that mandatory mitigation measures are implemented as conditions of approval. The work is further governed by the specifications detailed in the timber harvesting plan and complies with California Code of Regulations section 15096.
