The Food and Drug Administration is requesting four QuantStudio 5 real-time PCR systems, each to be installed at designated locations including MOD1, with the procurement being executed through ORTS’ bundle purchase program. These systems are factory-calibrated for rapid deployment and minimal maintenance, featuring a full-function touchscreen interface, support for both 96-well and 384-well consumables, and fixed blocks with VeriFlex technology that provides six independent temperature zones for precise thermal control. The instruments offer high sensitivity by detecting target quantity differences as low as 1.5-fold, and include multiplexing capabilities for up to six targets in a single reaction. Remote monitoring and optional cloud-based analysis modules from Applied Biosystems enable seamless data sharing and enhanced workflow efficiency, while built-in software ensures compliance with 21 CFR Part 11 for electronic records and signatures. The compact design makes the system suitable for space-constrained laboratories, and all units will be delivered with full functionality and no additional calibration required upon installation.
