The information gathered from this Request for Information (RFI) will a) help PSPC evaluate and better understand the capacity of environmental engineering services firms, both Indigenous and non-Indigenous businesses, to deliver Multidisciplinary Environmental Consulting Services in Alberta, Saskatchewan, Manitoba, the Northwest Territories, and/or Nunavut; b) contribute to PSPC’s commitment to advancing reconciliation with Indigenous peoples by promoting greater Indigenous participation in federal government procurement activities; c) support PSPC’s ongoing commitment to advancing reconciliation with Indigenous peoples and, as part of that effort, to enhance Indigenous participation in PSPC procurement activities; and d) evaluate the capacity of Indigenous businesses to help meet the mandatory minimum target for 5% of total contract value to be awarded to Indigenous firms.
