Broward County has issued a Request for Information to determine if the Commercial Vehicle Management Software provided by GateKeeper Systems Inc. is available from other sources or if an alternative service can meet the needs of the Fort Lauderdale-Hollywood International Airport. The current system is proprietary and integrates with TransCore AVI hardware to enable remote diagnostics, RFID reader updates, and the collection of per-trip fees from ground transportation operators. This process is intended to verify if the service is truly a single-source procurement and is not a request for pricing or a formal purchase commitment. Prospective vendors capable of meeting or exceeding these requirements must submit their documentation through the electronic bidding system by the deadline of October 23, 2026. The Director of Purchasing holds the sole authority to determine if a submitted alternative is comparable and will decide whether to officially designate the project as a Single Source or Brand. This decision is final and not subject to protest or appeal.
