The Prequalification Questionnaire is for the forthcoming Job Order Contract solicitation. A Job Order Contract is an alternative method of contracting for simple, easily-defined projects to perform maintenance, repair, and minor renovation projects throughout the Port of Long Beach in a more expeditious manner by selecting specific tasks from a JOC construction catalog containing thousands of pre-priced bid items to complete the required work. Prequalified Contractors will bid adjustment factors during the bid phase of the contract and this adjustment factor will be applied to tasks selected from the JOC construction catalog on future JOC projects. Specific work under a JOC will be accomplished through issuance of task orders/Job Order authorizations. Previous JOC projects included, but are not limited to, office building repairs and renovations, HVAC equipment replacement, fencing and gate construction and repairs, window leak investigations and repairs, pump station repairs, and alteration and servicing of electrical equipment.
