Request For Qualifications For On Call Materials Testing Services

Shasta County Department of Public Works is soliciting a qualified consulting firm to provide on-call materials testing services for various public works projects from 2026 to 2029. The contract is structured as an indefinite-delivery, indefinite-quantity agreement with a total value not to exceed 150,000 dollars. The scope of work includes laboratory materials acceptance testing for gradation, R-Value, sand equivalent, and durability index, as well as field observation and density compaction testing using nuclear gauges. Additionally, the selected consultant will provide special inspections for asphalt concrete, steel, Portland cement concrete, and welding, including services performed by a Certified Welding Inspector and structural steel bolting inspections.
