The National Research Council Canada has a requirement to plan and execute a terminology management process (extraction, management, evaluation, integration, and maintenance/updating). Preliminary steps will include the conduct of a literature review and needs analysis, analyze available documentary and terminological resources. The NRC requires the services of an expert in aspects of Machine Translation that will be applied to the problem of a state-of-the-art translation solution for F-35 technical manuals for DND. This project will be a needs and problem analysis, understanding the data, the DND’s Future Fighter Capability Program (FFCP) requirements, and the state of the art in machine translation for technical domains.
