This is a sole source announcement. No Request for Proposal will be preparedand no hard copy will be made available. Space and Navel Warfare SystemsCenter, Pacific-San Diego, intends to issue a cost type contract to Texas TechUniversity, an educational institution, for a one year services contract withtwo (2) one year option periods in support of investigating, designing,building, testing and integrating radio frequency (RF) analog integratedcircuits (ICs) and developing systems design techniques that can exploitnonlinear system dynamics to provide improved performance for criticalDepartment of Defense (DoD) applications. The applicable North AmericanIndustry Classification Systems (NAICS) Code is 541710. This notice is not a request for competitive proposals. A determination by theGovernment not to compete based upon responses to this notice is solely withinthe discretion of the Government. Information received will normally beconsidered solely for the purpose of determining whether to conduct acompetitive procurement. Authority for other than full and open competition is10 U.S.C. 2304 ( c )(1) and FAR 6.302.1, Only one responsible source and notother supplies or services will satisfy agency requirements.
