RFB 2026-023, SPEEGLEVILLE BRIDGE OVER MIDDLE BOSQUE REPLACEMENT

The City of Waco is soliciting sealed bids for the replacement of the Speegleville Bridge over the Middle Bosque River, identified as RFB2026-023, with bids due by 2:00 P.M. on Wednesday, July 29, 2026, at the Operations Center located at 1415 N. 4th Street in Waco, Texas. This 0.54-mile project, a joint effort between the City of Waco and TxDOT, involves reconstructing approximately 2,200 linear feet of Speegleville Road from Maple Shade Road to north of Oak Road, transforming the current alignment into a four-lane roadway with separated northbound and southbound lanes connected by a striped median. Two new bridges, each 670 feet long, will be constructed to cross the Middle Bosque River, alongside the installation of about 1,500 linear feet of storm drainpipes and culverts, and new pedestrian sidewalks on both the eastern and western sides of the roadway to improve safety and accessibility for non-motorized users. A non-mandatory pre-bid meeting will be held via Zoom on July 1, 2026, at 10:00 A.M., offering bidders an opportunity to review project details and ask questions.
