The Chatham County Fire Station Alerting (FSA) System RFI is a non-binding, information-gathering request issued to solicit detailed technical, operational, and capability data from vendors interested in providing a next-generation alerting solution for integration with the county’s Enterprise Computer-Aided Dispatch (CAD) system. The county aims to understand vendor offerings related to system features such as multi-sensory alerting, automated voice dispatching, network redundancy, remote monitoring, mobile and cloud access, scalability, and compliance with NFPA standards 1225 and 1710. Responses will inform the development of a future formal Request for Proposal (RFP), with no commitment or obligation to procure. The project encompasses multiple fire departments across Chatham County, requiring phased deployment, legacy system coexistence, and multi-agency coordination, with an estimated system value between 500,000 and 2 million dollars. The solicitation emphasizes that the system must support secure, native integration with existing CAD platforms, provide reliable alerting with visual and audio cues, and include features such as zoning, turnouts, and incident reporting. Vendors are asked to submit comprehensive information covering technical specifications, company experience, example installations, and pricing strategies, all via the county’s procurement portal by August 29, 2025. While the RFI references NFPA standards for compliance, it does not specify contractual clauses, delivery schedules, or detailed pricing structures. It also does not include specific requirements for packaging, markings, or certifications, as the focus remains on technical and operational capabilities. Administrative contacts and submission procedures are clearly outlined, but no binding evaluation criteria or contract terms are established at this stage.
