The Department of Defense, specifically the United States Air Force, is conducting market research to identify qualified sources capable of providing depot repair services for the AN/APY-1/2 E-3 surveillance radar 5-Volt Power Supply, identified by NSN 6130-01-451-3046CW and Part Number PS12295. This component is critical for maintaining the mission capability and reliability of the E-3 Airborne Warning and Control System (AWACS) aircraft. Because the technical repair data is not government-owned and is costly to acquire or reverse engineer, the government is seeking vendors with the necessary expertise and data to perform these repairs. The scope of work requires the contractor to perform repairs at their own facility with a turnaround time of 45 calendar days, at a rate not exceeding three units per month. Key performance requirements include the establishment of a counterfeit electronic part detection system and a quality program that limits Product Quality Deficiency Reports to no more than one for the duration of the contract. Contractors must utilize the Commercial Asset Visibility-Air Force (CAV-AF) system for production reporting and the Wide Area Workflow (WAWF) for invoicing and receiving reports. Compliance requirements include adherence to DFARS 252.204-7012 regarding the safeguarding of covered defense information and DFARS 252.239-7010 for cloud computing security. Packaging and marking must follow Air Force Materiel Command Form 158, and all delivered items must meet Unique Item Identification (IUID) standards. This effort is currently a Request for Information for market research purposes, with a response deadline of December 6, 2026, and is categorized under NAICS code 334511.
