AI Contract Overview
The Department of Defense, specifically the 56th Contracting Squadron at Luke Air Force Base, Arizona, has issued a Request for Information (RFI) for C & X-Band 300W Amplifiers. This RFI is strictly for market research and planning purposes to gather information from qualified and interested vendors about their capabilities in supplying these amplifiers. The Government is seeking details such as company identification, small business status and certifications, estimated response times for potential future Requests for Quote (RFQ), and any feedback on improving the requirement. This effort is intended to help the Government assess the marketplace and determine the feasibility of a solicitation set-aside, although no contract award or payment obligation arises from this RFI. Responses must be submitted electronically by 1:00 pm EST on May 26, 2026, to the primary contact, SSgt Aniyah Jackson. The Government encourages transparency by asking whether vendor questions and Government answers can be publicly posted without disclosing the firm’s identity. The notice highlights that it is not a solicitation but a step for source identification, and vendors are encouraged to submit earlier than the deadline if possible. Questions can be directed to the Contracting Specialist or a secondary contact at the provided email addresses and phone numbers. This RFI, tied to NAICS code 334220, aligns with Department of Defense procurement procedures and seeks to obtain market insights to support potential future contracting actions.
