AI Contract Overview
The 56th Contracting Squadron at Luke Air Force Base, Arizona, is conducting market research through a Request for Information (RFI) to assess vendor capabilities for supplying a C and X-Band 300W amplifier, with solicitation number F2UT506111A001 issued under FAR Part 10 for planning purposes only. The RFI seeks detailed information from qualified vendors including firm identification, business size classification, and eligibility under small business programs such as 8(a), SDVOSB, or HUBZone, along with estimated response timelines for a future Request for Quotation. Vendors are required to provide technical feedback on the amplifier’s salient characteristics, which include output power exceeding 300W at 5.5 to 10.5 GHz, power added efficiency of at least 15%, gain greater than 55dB, VSWR less than 3:1, and operation within a temperature range of -20°C to +65°C with forced air cooling. Mechanical constraints stipulate a maximum footprint of 12L x 10W x 5D inches with SMA female input and SMA, TNC, or N-type female output connectors, while DC power consumption must remain under 1500W and RF blanking response must be less than 2 microseconds. Responses must be submitted electronically via email to SSgt Aniyah Jackson by 1:00 PM EST on Tuesday, 26 May 2026, with no hard copies or physical media accepted, and vendors are encouraged to submit questions for potential public posting to ensure transparency, though their identities will remain anonymous. The RFI does not obligate the government to award a contract or reimburse proposal costs and does not include formal evaluation factors, contract clauses, packaging standards, inspection protocols, or pricing details. The place of performance is designated as Luke Air Force Base, Arizona, with no FOB terms or delivery schedule specified, and while the NAICS code 334220 applies, no official set-aside is planned. The government is gathering data to determine future procurement strategy, including potential small business set-asides, and all submissions will inform the development of a formal solicitation.
