AI Contract Overview
The 56th Contracting Squadron at Luke Air Force Base is conducting market research through a Request for Information (RFI) to assess the availability of Victron MultiPlus 2000VA inverter/charger units with part number PMP122200102, intended for use at the base in Arizona. This RFI, issued under FAR Part 10, is purely for planning and does not obligate the government to award a contract or pay for any proposal preparation costs. Interested vendors are requested to provide detailed information including their company name, address, phone number, CAGE code, and small business status, with specific emphasis on certifications under SBA programs such as 8(a), Service-Disabled Veteran-Owned, or HubZone, as the anticipated procurement is set aside entirely for small businesses. Respondents must also estimate the number of calendar days required to respond to a future RFP, the time needed from award to full operational transition, and a rough order of magnitude (ROM) price per unit, while offering feedback to help improve the requirement. All responses must be submitted electronically via email to Rachel Tilley by 1:00 PM Eastern Time on Tuesday, 26 May 2024, with the government reserving the right to post questions and responses publicly without disclosing the respondent’s identity. The technical baseline is defined by a draft Salient Characteristics document referencing the device’s 2000VA continuous output, 80A charging capacity, UPS functionality, PowerAssist technology, and compatibility with parallel or three-phase configurations, though no formal MIL-STD or inspection criteria are specified. The solicitation number is F2UT506114A006, and no pricing, delivery schedules, packaging requirements, or contract clause details are included because this document serves solely as a pre-solicitation tool to determine market interest, vendor capabilities, and the viability of a small business set-aside.
