The Department of Defense, through the 56th Contracting Squadron at Luke Air Force Base, is issuing a Request for Information (RFI) to gather market data for the procurement of DET 9 Victron MultiPlus 2000VA inverter/charger units (PN: PMP122200102). This RFI serves as a preliminary step to evaluate potential vendors capable of supplying these units and performing related services. The notice specifically targets small businesses under a Total Small Business Set-Aside and emphasizes the requirement for firms to provide detailed company information, including business size, relevant certifications, response timelines for future solicitations, lead time from award to service initiation, and rough-order-of-magnitude pricing per unit. Vendor feedback on improving the requirement and permission for anonymous public posting of questions and answers are also sought to ensure transparency. Responses must be submitted electronically by May 26, 2026, no later than 1:00 PM Eastern Time, with earlier submissions encouraged. The RFI does not constitute a binding solicitation or obligate the government to award a contract or cover proposal preparation costs. The information collected will be used to identify qualified sources and determine whether a set-aside is appropriate for any subsequent solicitation. Rachel Tilley serves as the primary point of contact for this RFI, and interested parties are encouraged to reach out via email for further information.
