The Defence Investment Agency (DIA) has issued a Request for Information (RFI) to engage with industry regarding the Department of National Defence’s Camp Sustain (CS) Project, which aims to provide deployable camp infrastructure and utility systems. This project seeks to replace outdated equipment, address current capability gaps, and enhance sustainment capabilities for military operations. The RFI is intended solely to gather information and feedback from suppliers to better understand industry interest, capacity, and ability to meet these requirements. It is important to note that this RFI is not a solicitation for bids, does not guarantee any contract award, nor will it create a list of approved vendors or require suppliers to reserve resources. The RFI, posted on March 26, 2026, has a response deadline of December 31, 2026, and is issued by the Government of Canada’s Department of Public Works and Government Services. Although it does not specify any set-aside types or NAICS codes, the RFI is part of federal government procurement processes and aims to inform potential future procurements without obligating the government. Interested parties may direct inquiries to the identified contracting authority, John Cadotte. Ultimately, this RFI serves as an exploratory engagement step to inform the planning and potential future acquisition strategies of the Camp Sustain project.

Defence Investment Agency (DIA) launched this initial Request for Information (RFI) to engage industry, through consultation, on its interest, capacity and ability to supply and deliver the requirements of the Department of National Defence’s Camp Sustain (CS) Project. The CS Project intends to deliver a deployable camp infrastructure and utilities systems to replace aging equipment, address existing capability deficiencies and to improve sustainment capabilities. To ensure the successful procurement of the above requirement, Canada seeks to engage industry through this RFI process. This is not a bid solicitation. This RFI may not result in issuance of a solicitation and will not result in the award of any contract. As a result, interested suppliers of any goods or services described in this RFI should not reserve stock or facilities, nor allocate resources, as a result of any information contained in this RFI. Nor will this RFI result in the creation of any source list. Therefore, whether or not any interested supplier responds to this RFI, this will not preclude that supplier from participating in any future procurement. Also, the procurement of any of the goods and services described in this RFI will not necessarily follow this RFI. This RFI is simply intended to solicit information and feedback from industry with respect to the matters described in this RFI.
