The New York State (NYS) Community Commission on Reparations Remedies (the “Commission”) is established to examine the institution of slavery in New York and the extent to which the federal, State, and local governments supported the institution of slavery; to recommend appropriate remedies and reparations in consideration of the Commission’s findings; and to submit a written report of its findings and recommendation to the Governor, the Temporary President of the Senate, the Speaker of the Assembly, and the minority leaders of the Senate and Assembly. The purpose of this RFP is to retain one contractor to act as the Executive Director of the NYS Community Commission on Reparations Remedies.
