RFP Amendment - Undersea Warfare Training Range(USWTR) Increment II & III

Contract N6134021C0023, awarded by the Department of Defense Nawc Training Systems Division, covers the Undersea Warfare Training Range (USWTR) Increment II and III. The primary objective is the redevelopment and modernization of four deep water ranges and the addition of two shallow water ranges. The deep water ranges include the Barking Sands Tactical Underwater Range and the Barking Sands Undersea Range Expansion in Hawaii, the Atlantic Undersea Test and Evaluation Center in the Bahamas, and the Southern California Anti-Submarine Offshore Range. The new shallow water ranges, West SWTR and East SWTR, will be located over the Tanner/Cortes bank and on the western side of San Clemente Island, California. The scope of work encompasses the In-Water Subsystem and the Atlantic Undersea Test and Evaluation Center Sensor Replacement Program, involving program management, systems engineering, and the manufacture, installation, and testing of instrumentation systems and underwater cables. The contract utilizes a mix of Firm Fixed Price and Cost Plus Fixed Fee CLINs to cover technical reviews, cable procurement, installation engineering, and training. Deliverables are managed through a formal Contract Data Requirements List, including management plans and integrated program management reports, while the government provides necessary laboratory facilities and equipment to support the effort.
