Flint Community Schools is soliciting lump sum sealed bids for the foundations, sitework, and outdoor athletics of the new Flint High School, identified as Project No. 25-2985. The scope of work is divided into several bid categories, including foundations and pits, anchor bolts and embeds, outdoor athletic equipment, athletic field bleachers, earthwork and utilities, site concrete, asphalt paving, landscaping, fencing and gates, athletic fields, and track surfacing. Bids must be submitted electronically via BuildingConnected by 11:00 AM on September 15, 2026. To be considered, bidders must meet several mandatory requirements, including completing the Clark Construction Company prequalification online database and providing a bid security of at least 5% of the total base bid sum. Additionally, bidders must submit sworn and notarized statements regarding familial disclosure in compliance with MCL 3801267, certification that they are not an Iran linked business, and an affidavit of compliance for criminal background checks. While the best financial bid is a primary consideration, the School District Board of Education reserves the absolute discretion to award the contract to a bidder other than the low bidder. Selected contractors must ensure their Project Manager and Superintendent or Foreman attend post-bid interviews on September 16 and 17, 2026.
