RFP for Chemical analyses of marine sediment samples for determination of specified drugs, pesticides, & antibiotic's Concentrations

Fisheries and Oceans Canada is seeking a qualified laboratory to perform chemical analyses on marine sediment samples collected from near-, mid-, and far-field locations along the East and West coasts of Canada to determine concentrations of specific drugs, pesticides, and antibiotics, as well as moisture content. The purpose is to evaluate the presence and potential ecological impact of aquaculture-related chemical compounds in environments beyond direct aquaculture sites, where DFO lacks in-house analytical capacity. The contract will be issued following the solicitation process and will remain in effect until September 29, 2027, with the possibility of four one-year extensions, potentially extending the term through September 29, 2031. The solicitation, under number 30008050, was posted on August 7, 2026, with proposals due by September 2, 2026.
