I. INTRODUCTION AND BACKGROUND:
The City of Merriam, Kansas currently has approximately 170,000 linear feet of storm sewer pipe and is requesting qualified contractors to submit proposals for storm sewer video inspection services, including pipe cleaning as necessary.
II. PROJECT DESCRIPTION
Each inspection must be systematic and provide:
• Comprehensive video documentation of the condition and identification of obstructions of the City’s storm sewer pipe. Natural and improved open channels are not to be inspected as part of this project.
• Comprehensive reports documenting attributes of the pipes inspected, an evaluation of the condition of the pipe, list of defects or obstructions identified and representative photos of pipes inspected following the NASSCE PAXP system (see attachment for documentation requirements).
The City will provide existing storm sewer system maps to be used for the inspections.
