RFQ7484 Hazardous Waste Pickup Service

This subcontracting opportunity with Management & Training Corporation (MTC) seeks qualified small businesses to provide hazardous waste pickup and disposal services at the Sierra Nevada Job Corps Center in Reno, Nevada. The scope of work requires comprehensive handling, packaging, transportation, recycling, and disposal of universal waste such as 1,185 light bulbs, 287 batteries, 91 non-PCB ballasts, and four light tube replacement boxes, as well as hazardous and non-regulated materials including 45 units of non-regulated liquid scrap, 15 corrosive products, one flammable liquid scrap, one pesticide, one unit of empty containers, 32 five-gallon paint pails, 20 one-gallon paint buckets, and two custom containment units built to site specifications. Services must be performed at Buildings 23, 29, 31, and Gymnasium Utility Room Bldg. 26, and must be conducted by an Environmental Technician who will identify, segregate, package, and prepare waste for transport using a qualified driver and one Big Box Truck. The contract is structured as a fee-for-service with a lump sum bid, and all tasks must comply with federal, state, and local environmental regulations and industry best practices.
