AI Contract Overview
The contract pertains to the procurement of 57 retaining rings, identified under NSN/Part Number 5325-01-622-9881, with a delivery schedule set at 171 days after order. The solicitation, numbered SPE4A1-26-T-2021, was posted on May 5, 2026, with a response deadline of May 13, 2026. This procurement is managed by the Department of Defense's Aviation Supply Chain office, specifically under the Defense Logistics Agency (DLA), with the contract performance location listed as Tracy, California. The associated NAICS code is 332510, pointing to manufacturing activities related to metalworking machinery. A critical aspect of this contract is the inclusion of technical data that falls under strict export control regulations—in particular, the International Traffic in Arms Regulations (ITAR) and the Export Administration Regulations (EAR). This restricts the dissemination of the data to authorized personnel only, requiring DLA contractors to have approved certifications, including the US/Canada Joint Certification Program and specific training on handling export-controlled information. This ensures compliance with DFARS 252.225-7048 and mandates prior authorization from either the Department of State or Department of Commerce before any export, including disclosure to foreign nationals. The contracting officer’s designated point of contact for inquiries is Jade Stringfield.
